Regular purchases and one-off purchases

Repeating a purchase changes the timing of costs. It does not remove them, and it is not available until the product says so.

One gold bar and an empty patch of light beside it, a single place, not a savings plan

A one-off purchase and a series of purchases are the same kind of transaction, done on different days. The difference is timing, and the costs that timing picks up.

Each purchase stands alone

Every purchase needs its own funding and its own quote. A later purchase does not inherit the price of an earlier one, and it does not repair a purchase that is still pending. Grams settle only when that purchase’s title evidence is recorded.

What repetition changes

Buying smaller amounts more often means you meet more quotes, and you may meet more fees. You also avoid putting the whole amount through one price. That is a trade-off, not an advantage that always wins. Averaging a price is a description of what happened. It is not a reason the next price will be kinder.

What GXLD has not opened

The product concept allows a supported recurring purchase. The live application has not opened one, and this article does not set a minimum, a day of the month or a fee for it. Until a recurring instruction exists in the account, the honest action is a purchase you start yourself, and only when buying is available.

How to read the cost

Compare the quote, not a slogan. The quote should show the grams, the money and the costs before you accept. Buying is the sequence. Fees is where cost categories are named, without invented numbers.

Why buying and selling prices differ

A valuation, a spot reference and a quote you can accept are three different numbers. The gap is not a mistake.

How to read a gold holding statement

A statement should separate grams you own, grams you cannot currently use, and a euro figure that is only an estimate.

Gold and inflation: an uncertain relationship

Gold is often described as a protection against inflation. The record does not make that description a promise.
